My uncle tapes the threaded side of the dishwasher elbow (never the compression side) and checks it with a paper towel after the first fill. The paper towel shows drips you can't see.

My foreman on weekends says nobody looks at your grades in the interview. True? Or is he just saying that because his were bad lol

my parents were the opposite lol, they were happy I wasn't going to college. but my foreman (well, my uncle) told my mom about the pension stuff and that's what she cared about

my foreman says the same thing about plumbing. he says the fastest way to lose your shot at a license is getting caught doing licensed work without one. not sure if that's true word for word but he was dead serious

Question

LED bulbs on the basement stairs glow when the switches are off

Helping my uncle again this weekend. His basement stairs have a light with a switch at the top and the bottom. He swapped the old bulbs for LEDs and now with both switches off they glow really faint, like a nightlight. He says it's cheap bulbs and to ignore it. I'm a plumbing kid so I don't really know electrical, but it bugs me. Is that a bulb thing or is something wired wrong? Should I be worried about it

Question

Do my vo-tech shop hours count toward anything after I graduate?

In the plumbing program at the Middlesex County vo-tech. We do a lot of shop time, plus I help my uncle on weekends (he jokes I'm basically his foreman now lol, I'm not). Ziggy's been answering my questions on here and he said to ask the people who actually run the programs, which I will, but I want to know what others found. Do the hours in a vo-tech program count toward an apprenticeship or a license later? Or is it just a diploma and a head start?
